of Application |
Both
the substrates to be bonded, are to be made free from
impurities like dust, oil, grease etc. and made dry. The
leather surface is to be buffed properly. The synthetic
surface should be cleaned by Acetone or similar solvent
and kept open for 5 minutes for solvent evaporation. The
adhesive is to be mixed with cross linking agent like
Yamadur H-20 in the ratio of 5% approximately by volume
in order to have better durability and higher resistance.
Then a thin layer of mixed adhesive is to be applied on
the surfaces to be bonded. Tackfree adhesive films on
both the substrates are then to be heat activated at around
70-75 degree centigrade and to be pressed together with
uniform pressure while those are hot. Final peel strength
will be achieved after 24 hours. |
| Caution
|
Highly
inflammable. Replace lid immediately after partial use.
Store in a cool and dry place. Adhesive mixed with hardener
has limited pot life and thus mix only the amount required. |
